Welcome to acoustic science

This blog has been created with the objective to improve my English. This is part of the activities of my English 4th course. I would like that readers enjoy reading this blog so I have been thinking about it and I finally decide to write about the science in our lives, historical facts and other things…. For example, the first time that the clock was set forward one hour in summer and delayed in winter was in the First World War. Then there was a period when there were not any changes. However the change returns with the petroleum crisis in 1973 since now in order to take advantage of the sun light and to save energy. I explain this because tonight we have to change the clock, don’t forget it!!!

  • Well done!
There are a few mistakes I'd like you to consider:

    You say:
-and finally I decide to write about the science in our lives...
-the first time that it has been advanced the clock one...
-After it was a period when the change was not did.
    -the petroleum crisis of 1973
    -because this night

    You should say:
-and I finally decided to write about science in our lives...
-the first time that the clock was set forward one...
-Then there was a period when there were not any changes.
    -the petroleum crisis in 1973
    -because tonight

    Please, edit and correct,

  • Hi pathfinder,

I am looking forward to reading your posts, because I like very much science. I think this can be a very interesting blog from my point of view.

Very interseting what you have written about the first time the clock was set forward.

    Luck!
